On March 27, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. onwards, personnel from the Division of Legal Affairs participated in the international academic conference ‘Walailak Research Convention 2025’ (WRC 2025) under the theme ‘The Roles of Higher Education in Driving Sustainability and Blue Carbon,’ held from March 26–28, 2025, at Walailak University in celebration of the university’s 33rd anniversary.
The event highlighted the role of higher education institutions in promoting sustainability and blue carbon research. The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Surachai Satitkunarat, Director of the Office of the Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO). Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, delivered the welcome address, followed by Associate Professor Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrangsilp, Vice President of Walailak University, presenting the conference report. The event, held at the Thai Buri Auditorium, was attended by researchers and scholars from 20 countries worldwide.
