Legal Affairs Division Personnel Participate in SDGs Workshop to Support Walailak University’s Drive toward a Sustainable University
On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, personnel from the Legal Affairs Division, Walailak University, participated in the workshop on “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” organized by the Center for Academic Services, Walailak University. The event was held at Phattharathammaphorn Meeting Room, 9th Floor, Building B, Walailak University Hospital, with more than 50 executives, lecturers, and staff from various university units attending.
The workshop aimed to enhance knowledge and understanding of sustainable development concepts and promote the practical application of SDGs in university operations. Associate Professor Dr. Warit Jorjit, Vice President for Administration and Sustainable Development, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a special lecture on “Walailak University’s Policy for Driving Sustainability.” In addition, Associate Professor Dr. Lucknara Kwanchum, Deputy Director of the Center for Academic Services, gave a special lecture on “Carbon Neutrality of a Green University.”
The participation of Legal Affairs Division personnel reflects the division’s commitment to supporting the university’s sustainability mission. The knowledge gained from the workshop can be applied to legal affairs, regulations, governance, transparency, and institutional operations in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Walailak University has also achieved outstanding international recognition in SDGs, including being ranked No. 1 in the world for SDG 5: Gender Equality, as well as being listed among the world’s Top 50 in SDG 2, SDG 3, SDG 14, SDG 17, and SDG 4. These achievements reaffirm the university’s vision of becoming a truly sustainable university at the international level.
