The Legal Affairs Division organized a training programme to strengthen knowledge and raise awareness regarding the proper installation and operation of closed-circuit television systems in compliance with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019). The programme aimed to promote lawful, transparent, and responsible operational practices while ensuring due respect for the rights of personal data subjects.

Programme Objectives

To enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements and appropriate practices governing the installation and operation of CCTV systems under personal data protection legislation.

Personal Data Considerations

PDPA-Compliant Practices

The programme addressed appropriate camera installation, the preparation of CCTV privacy notices, secure management of recorded footage, and responsible procedures for accessing and using personal data.

Legal Risk Mitigation

Participants received practical guidance on preventing unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or distribution of CCTV footage and reducing potential legal and institutional risks.
