The Division of Legal Affairs of Walailak University organized a training course on ‘Guidelines for Conducting Fact-Finding and Disciplinary Investigations’.

On Friday, July 25, 2025, from 08:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Division of Legal Affairs of Walailak University organized a practical training workshop on the topic: “Guidelines for Conducting Fact-Finding and Disciplinary Investigations”
The workshop was held at Moklan Meeting Room, located in the Professor Dr. Wijit Srisa-arn Building. The event was well attended by university executives, faculty members, and personnel from various departments.

The training began with an opening address by Asst. Prof. Dr. Phadungsak Suksard, Vice President of Walailak University, followed by a welcome speech delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Warit Jorchit, also Vice President.

This special workshop was honored by the presence of Mr. Rachai Asawet, an experienced speaker, who generously shared his expertise and investigative techniques throughout the entire session.

The morning session featured a lecture on
“Techniques for Writing Investigation Reports and Conducting Disciplinary Investigations”
by Mr. Rachai Asawet, a specialist in disciplinary and investigative procedures. He provided in-depth insights into several key topics, including:

  • Essential principles of conducting investigations

  • Characteristics of involved parties

  • Techniques for collecting evidence

  • Guidelines for drafting investigation documents and compiling fact-finding reports

In the afternoon session, participants gained knowledge from the topic:
“Disciplinary Investigation Procedures According to Walailak University’s Regulations, Rules, and Announcements.”
This session focused on practical approaches tailored to the university’s internal context. The speaker presented important points such as:

  • Steps for establishing an investigation committee

  • Roles and responsibilities of committee members

  • Procedures for issuing formal allegations

  • Conducting witness hearings

  • Properly concluding investigations and following disciplinary procedures in accordance with the regulations

Real-life case studies from other higher education institutions were also shared, enabling participants to apply the knowledge in real-world scenarios.

The training received very positive feedback from attendees, especially regarding the section on preparing accurate and complete investigation reports—helping to ensure a consistent standard for disciplinary procedures across the organization.

The workshop concluded at 4:30 p.m., with closing remarks and expressions of appreciation delivered by Mr. Rachai Asawet.
