Personnel from the division participated in the training organized by the Walailak University Corporate Communications Division, titled ‘How to Identify Newsworthy Issues: Training the Next Generation of Communicators.

On January 28, 2025, the Corporate Communications Division of Walailak University organized a training session on writing press releases for websites and social media under the project ‘WALAILAK PR NETWORK: Communicating the University’s Image through Public Relations Networks.’ The training focused on techniques for identifying key points and presenting news creatively.

The event was welcomed by Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice President, and Assistant Professor Dr. Farida Je-Ao, Assistant to the President. Mr. Krisna Thiwatsirikul, a journalist from Thai PBS in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, served as the instructor. Two personnel from the Division of Legal Affairs participated in the training at the Khao Luang Meeting Room, Cooperative Education Building, Walailak University.

Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maisrikrod delivered a special lecture on the topic ‘University Information Communication Strategies,’ sharing over eight years of experience working in the international media industry. He emphasized that the key aspects for effective communicators are accuracy and ethical standards in presenting information. All content should be verified before publication, as any dissemination can significantly impact a large audience.

He also highlighted the importance of understanding an organization’s identity to identify its strengths. For instance, Walailak University is currently in a transformative period, preparing to become a university with standards comparable to leading global institutions. Therefore, the university’s communications should focus on presenting its readiness to reach a world-class level.
