Digital Skills Training for Website Administrators
Walailak University organized a training program titled “Digital Skills for Organization Website Administrators” under the course “WordPress for Organization Website Management” to enhance the digital capabilities of personnel responsible for managing organizational websites under the .wu.ac.th domain. The training aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge and skills in managing websites using WordPress and to prepare them for the evolving landscape of AI-driven search technologies, which are transforming how information is discovered on the internet.
The training was held on 25 February 2026, from 09:00 to 16:00, at the Computer Laboratory, Digital Innovation Center, Walailak University. Website administrators from various university units participated in the program to develop practical skills in effectively managing organizational websites through the WordPress platform, which plays a key role in digital communication for modern institutions.
The training program covered both theoretical and practical aspects, including the following topics:
- Understanding the WordPress system structure for organizational websites and the roles of website administrators
- Creating, editing, and managing content effectively using Posts and Pages
- Enhancing website functionality through the use of essential plugins for website management
- Designing website menu structures and organizing internal information links systematically
- Implementing Cyber Security concepts for WordPress to protect and maintain organizational websites
- Explaining the university website evaluation criteria and providing development guidelines aligned with institutional standards
On this occasion, Mr. Surin Palichan, General Administration Officer, who serves as the administrator of the unit’s website and all its sub-websites, also participated in the training. His participation aimed to further strengthen his expertise in website administration and to apply the acquired knowledge to improve the unit’s website management, ensuring it remains modern, secure, and responsive to the demands of digital information access in the era of AI-powered search.
