“Personnel Division of Legal Affairs took part in the activities held to mark the 33rd anniversary of Walailak University’s founding.”

Personnel from Division of Legal Affairs  participated in the Three-Religion Merit-Making Ceremony and the Royal Decoration Ceremony in front of the portrait of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn, as well as the award presentation honoring outstanding personnel and distinguished alumni, on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the founding of Walailak University.

On March 28, 2025, starting at 8:00 AM, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, and Mr. Teerachai Chamnasiri, Chairman of the University Council, presided over the merit-making ceremony by offering alms of rice and dried food to 33 Buddhist monks. The ceremony also included a Buddhist ritual (Thaksinanupathan) to dedicate merit to Professor Dr. Vijit Srisa-arn, a major contributor to the university, as well as deceased faculty, staff, and students.

The event continued with a Dua prayer (Islamic tradition) and a Christian blessing ceremony, held to bring auspiciousness to the university’s executives, staff, and students on this special occasion.

Mr. Somchai Leelanoi, Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Colonel Wichan Sarikapan, Deputy Commander of the 41st Military Circle, as well as distinguished guests, local dignitaries from Tha Sala District and Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, university executives, personnel, and a large number of students participated in the ceremonies held beside the Thai Buri Building.

On the same occasion, at the Main Auditorium of the Thai Buri Building,
Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, delivered a welcoming address and presented a summary of the university’s achievements over the past year.

He emphasized the university’s firm commitment to continuously improving its global ranking, highlighting both the development of a beautiful and modern physical environment, as well as the advancement of high-quality academic standards.
He further stressed that enhancing the quality of teaching and learning remains the university’s top priority.
